Silkflo® products are clear, colorless, odorless, non-volatile, high purity hydrocarbon liquids. Structurally, Silkflo® products are fully hydrogenated oligomers of 1-decene. The unique, non-oily feel of the Silkflo® products sets them apart from mineral oil and other oils, esters and hydrocarbons used in the cosmetic and personal care market.
Silkflo® 366 offers a moderate to heavy velvety sensorial feel to formulations. Silkflo® 366 is recommended for use in skin care, sun care, color cosmetics, hair care and other personal care formulations. Silkflo® 366 provides emolliency and moisturizing properties to skin and sun care products, provides conditioning and shine to hair care formulations, and acts as a solubilizer for active ingredients and fragrances. Silkflo® 366 also lessens or eliminates whitening in AP/DEO formulations.
